This past week, I found myself feeling less stressed.
You might be wondering, how are you less stressed with all that coffee you're drinking?
Well, I do drink a lot of coffee, but breaking my goals into smaller, bite-sized pieces has made all the difference. By the end of the week, I felt more accomplished, and that sense of progress was incredibly motivating.
I mentioned before that I’m focusing on two big things this year. One of them is managing myself and becoming more self-controlled. To support this, I’ve decided to read more—specifically, one book a month. Reading keeps my mind active and engaged, and I’ve found it to be a productive way to spend my time. If I’m consuming content that benefits my life practically, it feels worth every moment.
What about you? What books do you read? What have you read lately?
So far, I'm reading at least two books a month, and I’m off to a strong start. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t expect to feel tempted to give up by March, but we’ll see how it goes. For now, I’m not overwhelmed. Spending time reading has also replaced my habit of binge-watching meaningless shows on Netflix. Anyone else out there struggle with that?
Setting smaller, manageable goals has truly helped me practice self-control and work toward my bigger objectives, like reading more and maintaining balance in different areas of my life.
And yes, I’m still drinking lots of coffee throughout the process. ;)
Happy Sipping,
Jenelle
