New Year, New Goals: Embracing Growth One Step at a Time

Dear Friends,

As the New Year unfolds, I've been reflecting on the power of setting new goals and how challenging it can be to embrace change. I have been setting goals every start of the year for over a decade now. I find that writing my goals down, really does work. I usually create those goals, write them out on paper then translate them to my whiteboard or chalkboard to later hang them up. I learned this technique when I was in college. It works. I promise.

To start your year, often it feels like a clean slate, full of potential and hope. But let's be real - the road to self-improvement isn't always smooth. Sometimes you write those goals down and you fail at one or all of them. Sometimes it isn't always smooth, but what helps is that you keep going and don't give up. Sounds cheesy, but I promise, just keep going!

Let me share with you some personal things I am working on this year and maybe it may inspire you.

For 2025, I am focusing on two big goals: embracing my health and maintaining a mindset of self-control in moments of stress or feeling over-whelmed. For me, this means finding a balance between nurturing myself and mind while managing the stress that comes with running a business, working full-time at my job and navigating life. I'm learning to pause, journal, breathe, and choose actions that align with my values, even when the pressure builds. Some days, it's easier said than done, but I"m reminding myself that progress, not perfection, is what matters most.

In the spirt of honesty, I'll share a little about what I've been working on. Beyond my personal health, I'm also pouring energy into growing Good Grounds Coffee Co. and connecting with all of my readers on a deeper level. It's a labor of love, inspired by those who have impacted me positively and lovingly.

To everyone setting new goals this year, know this: It's okay if the journey feels messy. Growth often does. Let's give ourselves some grace and take it one step, one day, and maybe even one cup of coffee at a time.

With hope and determination,

Jenelle
